The Real Housewives of Atlanta Reunion, Part II (Season 3)
Part II of the Real Housewives of Atlanta (Season 3) Reunion. Andy Cohen hosted the Housewives' Reunion from the Georgia Aquarium, asking the girls, "What's your freak number?"
Sunday, February 20, 2020, Bravo TV aired Part II of the RHOA Reunion, taped at the beautiful Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta. Andy and the ATL Housewives, NeNe Leakes, Sheree Whitfield, Kim Zolciak, Phaedra Parks and Cynthia Bailey and Kandi Burruss took 18 hours out of their busy lives to do this Reunion, but that didn't slow down the pace from Part I, where, as Andy said, "NeNe got fired up and Phaedra kept her cool."
With so many topics to cover, Andy got right into it, mentioning Kandi's sexually-charged, web-based talk show, Kandi Koated Nights, asking everyone, "What is your freak number?" With nearly everyone owning up to having a fairly high number on the freak scale, some, like Kim, surprisingly avoided answering. Cynthia owned up to a number 5, saying she actually felt more like a 6.
Talk moved to Sheree and her search for a leading man in her life. As for "Love Doctor, my ass," Dr. Tiy-E Muhammad, he's history, but her ongoing affair with her gay husband, Lawrence, is everlasting. Kim told Sheree that there are "a lot of Atlanta Falcons that love them some Sheree." We'll see what happens with that. Sheree needs a guy who can go deep into his pockets. As for the rumored repo of her Aston Martin, she says that it wasn't repo at all, and that the car was paid off, but she gave it up in lieu of a judgment of $80 grand to a former attorney.
The subject of motherhood came up; all the ATL Housewives are moms, Phaedra being the only one who never had to face that role as a single parent. Andy said all of the Wives are terrific parents, and no one can doubt that they are devoted moms. They ran a few clips from the time of the Phaedra-due-date confusion, where some of my favorite lines were replayed, like NeNe's comment about Phaedra's baby weighing eight pounds at 7 months: "Shut up, that is so stupid." Or how about Kim's memorable quip to Cynthia about Dwight's baby double-talk: "Lying sack of (bleep)." And let us not forget Phaedra's first words upon seeing her newborn for the first time in the delivery room: "Ooh gross!"
Phaedra's felon, Apollo, was also the subject of some conversation, and Phaedra put his incarcerated past to bed once and for all, saying he was indicted on RICO (racketeering) charges. Phaedra's response to all the chatter about Apollo's past was, "People are not happy for other people's success, especially in Haterville."
The Ring Didn't Mean a Thing, but apparently the paycheck does. Kandi and Kim are still the best of friends, and have left their lawyers to figure out just how much money Kim owes Kandi for producing her hit single, Tardy for the Party. Aside from her producer fees, Kandi should be paid a customary percentage for publishing. Until it all gets straightened out, no one's releasing The Ring.
NeNe seemed somewhat removed from the conversations going back and forth except when Andy brought up her friendship with Kim and the incident on the tour bus where she got up off her seat and went right in Kim's face. Although I see Kim entertaining a future friendship with her frenemy, I don't see NeNe feeling the same.
Wrapping it up, Andy asked the girls, "What's next?" Sheree is resurrecting her clothing line, She by Sheree (Andy wants a He by Sheree line); Phaedra is purchasing a funeral home ("Those clients don't complain"); Kandi's latest CD got rave reviews, now she's working on a line of adult toys; Cynthia is contemplating opening a modeling school; Kim has a baby due and will be launching her wig line; and NeNe is a contestant on the upcoming season of Celebrity Apprentice, premiering Sunday, March 6, 2020 on NBC.
I do hope we'll be seeing more of the Real Housewives of Atlanta soon.
